NAME: Peter Parker
CANON: Marvel Cinematic Universe

BACKGROUND: Here
PERSONALITY:
INTELLIGENT: While he's only a high school student and generally the youngest superhero on screen at any given time, Peter usually has no problems grasping most of the science and ridiculous superhero mumbojumbo thrown his way. He's an exceptionally good student and easily qualifies as a bonafide nerd, absolutely no one questioning his "Stark internship" for scholastic abilities (his cover story for going around superhero-ing). Peter has participated in a variety of clubs for school like robotics lab and the academic decathalon team that show a clear intelligence, and he also made his own webshooter formula and was capable of doing a lot of science shit on his own...even though he has a patron with way more intense skills than his sixteen-year-old ass has.POWERS/ABILITIES: In-depth here. None of them should need to be capped or given permissions!
FRIENDLY: An obvious must for your "friendly neighborhood Spider-man", Peter is an (overly, awkwardly) gregarious dude who genuinely seems to like other people. He does have a few bullies, but he never really seems to want to start trouble even with those. He likes to talk to people, he's usually pretty easygoing about meeting new people even if he's a little awkward and nervous about it, and he very frequently carries on friendly banter during battles even when the other person is wishing with all their heart he would shut the fuck up (an impossibility for him).
AWKWARD: Despite being friendly as fuck, Peter's kind of an awkward teenage dude (although it's arguable that Peter Parker is kind of an awkward moron in any universe at any age). He stumbles over his own words a lot when he's talking, he rambles nervously and incessantly, and he doesn't seem totally hip or anything when it comes to how to interact with other people his age. Or...people twice his age, as many other superheroes are. He's easily thrown for a loop by others and he's kind of a completely terrible? Liar? Which is amazing all things considered since he somehow manages to keep his secret identity mostly intact despite being a pretty damn open book to literally everyone he's ever met, ever.
EXCITABLE: Peter is very much a newbie to the MCU and to the superhero scene, so it's no surprise that he's basically a huge puppy. An over-eager, easily excited puppy. He admires most of the Avengers and many other superheros, clearly keeping on up on the news of them and always acting excited to meet them (and even people he doesn't recognize). He very obviously admires them like any kid growing up in an Avengers-filled world would do, and he makes absolutely no secret how much he respects and looks up to Iron Man/Tony Stark. And Thor, let him meet Thor? Peter's always really happy about pretty much everything "cool" to happen, and is more genuinely excited about a lot of the minutae of being a superhero than like...pretty much everyone else. He loves cool tech? He loves getting to fight weird people, even if they drop him into lakes? He's always, always engaged and excited about things, and it shows. More than all the superhero stuff, though, Peter is just a pretty excitable dude in general. He's even eager and impressed when his best friend Ned wants to build a hugeass Lego Death Star together, and about any of the many science experiments he gets to preform over the course of his canon existence.
MORAL: Part of why he agrees to initially help Tony Stark when he's recruited for Civil War is that he believes that if someone who has his abilities/superpowers who doesn't do anything when bad stuff happens...well, those bad things are then happening because of you. Peter's young, but he has a strict moral system and he doesn't seem to waver from it often if ever. He very strongly feels the responsibility of his role and powers, and considering they were thrust on him by a spider bite rather than any actual people putting him into the role that's pretty impressive. His first instinct on what to do with enhanced abilities was to put on a homemade costume and help people out, and that tells you pretty much all you need to know about Peter Parker as a person. As his appearances in the MCU continues, he goes through gradually heavier stuff and starts to really display his moral system even further.
NAIVE: Though the MCU is tempering this one HARD, Peter still has a hard edge of naivete at his canon point. He's optimistic, good-hearted, and genuinely always tries to do his best. Peter is by far more innocent and naive than any of the other MCU mains, having little to none of the hard cynicism most of the others have collected over the course of the series. He can be sarcastic and dry sometimes, but he's basically more inclined to believe in people being good and people doing good than he is the alternative, and to believe that things will Work Out. That isn't to say he won't do his all to make sure they DO work out, but yeah. He's a sunshine boy.
BRAVE: Peter is willing to stow away on an alien ship just because he believes that he can help save the world (since if the world stops existing, there goes the neighborhood). He often jumps into things he doesn't quite know how to handle or has no experience with just because he wants to help, and he's far less worried about what might happen to him than what might happen to others, or what he might be able to do. He's not the kind of guy who backs away from things, and he'll always do his best even if it gets him really beat up. Thanks, MCU.
